About Mr. Heikes...

Gerald L. Heikes was born and grew up in Anchorage, Alaska.

Mr. Heikes is a veteran of the Alaska Air National Guard. He served from December 1970 through 1976 as a Fuels Specialist Airman First Class.

Special interests of Mr. Heikes include: Bible, Music and United States History.

Short biography: "I've spent perhaps 30 years of my life in Alaska. Our family left in 1955 and we returned in 1966. My dad was a drywall contractor and homebuilder; so my working career began a little earlier than most. We also had a family band and played clubs around Anchoage, Palmer and Wasilla; mostly weekends. Dad and I worked together in music about 6 years then I worked for different groups another 6 years. In 1977 I became a Christian and started a different way of life. I believe it's not how you start but how you finish."

Mr. Heikes and his wife, Gail "Marie" reside in Palmer, Alaska.

In 2008, The Fairbanks Daily News Miner published an interview-article featuring Mr. Heikes. He was running for the U.S. Senate and the News Miner wanted to know how Mr. Heikes felt about several different political subjects.
